After more than thirty years of service, Andrea decided to focus on the family farm, the Tenuta di Meregone, stepping away from the role he held for so long. However, he has never ceased to be an integral part of our story. A remarkable individual, Andrea dedicated his life to the restaurant and his family.

Like his sister Mariachiara, Andrea began working at a very young age, but his place was in the kitchen, where he learned the secrets of his mother’s recipes, assisting her for years in preparing dishes with authentic and traditional flavours. For many, many years, he worked alongside her, preparing everything from morning tarts to steaming soups and minestrone in the evening.

You would find him in the kitchen from early morning, and if he wasn’t there, he was surely in the vineyard, zipping around on the crawler tractor, or in the woods chopping firewood.

Now, even though he is no longer actively involved in the day-to-day operations, he is always ready to lend a hand whenever there’s an issue with the equipment, stepping in with promptness and skill. There is no problem Andrea cannot solve, thanks to his vast experience and expertise.

In addition to this, he supplies the restaurant with seasonal, environmentally friendly, and locally sourced produce – including fruits, vegetables, and Taggiasca olive oil – ensuring the freshest ingredients for every dish.

Andrea is a loyal, sincere, and generous person who never hesitates to offer his help and support to those in need. He is someone everyone turns to. With his dynamism and generosity, Andrea actively participates in many of the town’s initiatives, whether they are of a tourist, sporting, or sacred nature.

A constant point of reference for his dedication and hard work, Andrea embodies the spirit of a bygone era. For this, and for so many other reasons, it is both a source of pride and an honour to have him as part of this story.
